Two icons from opposite sides of the world come together in this special performance of evocative and romantic music to celebrate Gloucestershire poets; the Gloucestershire-born Johnny Coppin, with 18 albums to his name, and Peter Combe, the multi-talented Australian-born lover of Gloucestershire!

Edi Beo Thu Hevene Quene - one of the earliest known and recorded carols which has its roots in Gloucester.

This illustrated talk will be presented by the Taborer's Society.

How Elgar became ‘Elgar’

This talk, illustrated by music and powerpoint, looks at the emergence of Elgar’s individual musical style in the late 19th century.

This event is run by the Great Western Branch of the Elgar Society and is open to all.
