Saturday 9 August 2008

Saturday's programme commences with a performance by Piers Adams regarded by many to be the greatest recorder player of our time.

The culmination of an intensive week of workshops, Singworks performs "Noyes Fludde", Britten's superb opera created specifically for children in an ecclesiastical setting.

The grand finale of the 2008 Festival and the launch of the Worcester Festival, is a celebration of the  musical gems of the British cinema. From the pomp of the  Battle of Britain to the magic of Harry Potter, we present British Cinema at its very best. Lucy Parham will be performing the Warsaw Concerto, a piano piece rarely heard in the concert hall. This should be a real treat!
