Between 1509 when Henry VIII ascended the throne and 1558 when Elizabeth became queen, the three great churches at Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester underwent profound change. In this illustrated talk, Richard Fisher will compare the different ways the three cathedrals were organised, how their liturgy and choral manpower had evolved and how this was affected by the Reformation initiated by the Tudors.
