Some of the finest musicians in Gloucestershire come together to celebrate the 150th anniversary of one of the counties most famous sons, including tenor James Gilchrist and The Carducci Quartet. The programme will include Vaughan Williams' sublime A Serenade to Music performed by sixteen solo voices, the evocative song cycle On Wenlock Edge and some two lesser-known works by Vaughan Williams’ one time pupil, Imogen Holst, and a piece by Rebecca Clarke who also had links with the composer.
