Join Gloucester Chair Allen Prior on his third public fundraising walk forming part of the challenge he has set himself to walk 150 miles for RVW150 to raise money in support of plans to celebrate the anniversary at the 2023 festival. Read a message from Allen about his walking challenge here.

Vaughan Williams wrote a song cycle entitled On Wenlock Edge, which is part of the inspiration for this walk. Sadly, Wenlock Edge itself is too challenging logistically to attempt, but another song in the cycle is Bredon Hill in Worcestershire, hence this walk. We are still defining this walk but are likely to walk a circular route from Ashton Under Hill.

We will climb to the tower viewpoint near the Banbury Stone, see the Stone Age Kemerton hill fort and return via the village of Elmley Castle.

We ask all participants to read our general guidance before coming.
