Vacancy: Administrator and Box Office Supervisor (Maternity cover until January 2019)

Location: Gloucester, with occasional travel to Worcester, Hereford and other regional meeting locations.

Hours: Minimum 0.4 FTE (annual average 14 hours per week), usually spread over 3 days per week and within box office opening hours (10 am – 4 pm, Monday to Friday). The postholder will have first refusal on additional hours during peak times (e.g. festival and members on sale period), but is under no obligation to take additional hours.

Salary: £15 - £17k pro rata (any additional hours accepted beyond 0.4 FTE will be paid at the pro-rata hourly rate)

We are seeking a one-year maternity cover for our Box Office Supervisor and Administrator. The role’s primary responsibility is to support the Ticketing and Audiences Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Three Choirs Box Office (which also acts as a sales agent for other promoters). Ancillary responsibilities include some general office administration, and co-ordination and record keeping in relation to the festival’s governing body and committees.

You will be part of a small central team which works closely with the festival committees of each city. This is a 300-year-old organisation with British choral music at its heart. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about what we do and able to communicate effectively with a musically-knowledgeable core audience. Reporting directly to the Ticketing and Audiences Manager, this role involves occasional deputising in their absence, and delivery of the highest levels of customer service. Routine office administration will be self-managed and the Chief Executive will guide the postholder’s activities relating to meetings and office management.
