Vacancy: Marketing Manager

The Three Choirs Festival is seeking a versatile Marketing Manager to continue the development and delivery of the festival’s marketing strategy. The right candidate will know how to balance the unique character of each of the festival’s home cities with a long-term strategy to develop awareness and loyalty to the Three Choirs Festival brand with audiences from both the local area and further afield.

You will be part of a small central team which supports a 300-year-old organisation with choral music at its heart and a mission to bring the joy and power of music-making to everyone. You will be enthusiastic about what we do; able to communicate effectively with a musically-knowledgeable core audience as well as new audiences who are less familiar with our offering, and to act as an ambassador for the festival with audiences, partners and performers.

The Marketing Manager will take responsibility for all matters affecting marketing, including print production, advertising, PR (sometimes in liaison with external PR firms), photography and digital marketing (including website, social media and e-news). You will work hard to use the available budget to maximum effect, liaising closely with the Sales and Customer Service Manager to interrogate booking data and develop targeted marketing strategies that focus on identifying potential audience growth and giving our existing audience the best possible booking experience. You will develop good relationships with each city committee (a voluntary body that works closely with the central office to devise and deliver each festival) and establish relationships with local media and print outlets as well as national bodies.

Location: Gloucester, with occasional travel to Worcester and Hereford.
Hours: normal office hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with occasional evening and weekend work required, particularly during the festival (time in lieu will be given)
Salary: £19-£24k
Closing Date: noon, Thursday 13 February
Interview Date: interviews will take place on Wednesday 19 February
