The 1742 premiere of Handel’s Messiah was sufficiently crowded for it to have been famously demanded that ladies not bring hoops and men leave their swords at home! Messiah was an instant success and since that performance in Dublin, has been at the heart of the choral society tradition for over 275 years.

Maybe our 2021 performance will not require such demands, but please do join us for what is said by many to be the start of their Christmas.

**Stop Press**
On 14th November, our alto soloist for this concert, Hugh Cutting, was announced as the 2021 winner of the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Award. We are absolutely delighted that Hugh is able to join us for this concert.

For the safety of their audiences, Hereford Choral Society have made the decision to sell this concert on a socially distanced seating plan. All seats are bubbled in groups of 1 or 2 and you will need to purchase all seats within a seating bubble (for example you cannot buy 1 seat in a bubble of 2 seats, but it would be possible to buy a bubble of 1 seat and a bubble of 2 seats close to each other, to make up 3).

If you are booking online and cannot find seating to fit the needs of your group, or you require any other assistance please call the ticket office on 01452 768928 (Monday-Friday, 10am until 4pm) or email booking@3choirs.org.
