Katharine O’Carroll

Katharine was born into a musical family with long ties to Worcester Cathedral and the Three Choirs Festival, and with her father (Wulstan Atkins) probably holding the record for continuous festival attendances – every festival between 1908 and 2002 - she succumbed easily to the festival’s magnetic hold. Much of Katharine’s life was spent in Leeds, raising a family, engaging in various community-based endeavours, and developing a career in Early Years’ education. Katharine is on the committee of a local Music Society; she is interested in genealogy and medieval and renaissance church music, and she is trying to become a competent organist and bell ringer.
