About HCS | Verdi - Requiem

We are completely delighted that Verdi’s mighty and dramatic Requiem opens our 2025/26 season. Described by many as his greatest opera, Verdi’s Requiem provides a powerful evocation of our responses to death. From the hushed opening, through the shattering depiction of the terror of judgement day in the famous Dies irae, to the many sublime moments in the latter movements, it proves its worth as a choral work that is always popular with its audience.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience a live performance of this stunningly powerful work.
