Celebrating the 250th anniversary of American Independence, their recital explores the vocal styles of Britain and America, from spirituals and sacred works to jazz classics. Music from Holst, Vaughan Williams, and Howells celebrates their important association with this centuries-old Festival in the magnificent setting of Gloucester Cathedral, the birthplace of The Star-Spangled Banner’s well-known tune.
