David Stout is a highly regarded British baritone who has established himself as a versatile singer on both the operatic stage and in concert performances. A former Senior Chorister of Westminster Abbey, he later studied Zoology at Durham University before pursuing his vocal studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Rudolf Piernay, where he received the Principal's Prize.

His operatic roles have encompassed a wide range of repertoire, including Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, the title role in Le nozze di Figaro, Marcello in La Bohème, and many others with companies such as Welsh National Opera, English National Opera, Scottish Opera, and at international festivals like Bregenz and Wexford. He has also created roles in contemporary operas, such as the title role in Elena Langer's Figaro Gets a Divorce.
