Greek classical guitarist Dimitris Soukaras, based in London, is an award-winning musician recognized as a D'Addario Artist and a Yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Musicians. He excelled at the Ionian University and the Royal Academy of Music, earning the DipRAM and over 20 international prizes, including the David Russell Guitar Prize.
His debut album, "ROOTS" (NAXOS, 2021), highlights his artistry, which has been showcased in prestigious venues like Megaron Athens and King's Place, and with orchestras such as the Athens State Orchestra. Grammy winners Leo Brouwer and Sergio Assad have dedicated compositions to him.
In 2024, Dimitris completed his Ph.D. exploring the performer's role in new guitar works by non-guitarists. He founded and directs the MUΣA Concert Series (since 2019). Praised by leading guitarists, his recordings have been featured on BBC Radio 3 and Greek National Radio.
