Founded in 1995, the National Youth String Orchestra is one of the UK's most prestigious training orchestras for string players up to the age of 21, bringing together young players from across the country for residencies at Easter and summer. Players benefit from outstanding personalised coaching from a team of leading chamber orchestra musicians. Recent performances include CBSO Centre, Snape Maltings, Lake District Summer Music, MusicFest Aberystwyth and Cambridge Summer Music.
