Oriana Singers

David Austen founded Oriana Singers in November 1968. The choir has 19 singers from the Gloucestershire area around Dursley and Wotton-under-Edge. Oriana sings a wide variety of music from the 14th to 21st Centuries, including sacred music, madrigals, Christmas music, spirituals and folk song arrangements. David Moss has been their conductor since 1997, and was previously founding conductor of the Diatonic Chamber Choir in Leamington Spa. Oriana Singers and Diatonic have made several foreign tours together. We have sung in such prestigious venues as the Royal Chapel in Seville Cathedral (2008), the Monastery of the Catholic Monarchs in Toledo (2010), Rouen Cathedral (broadcast live on French radio in 2012), Cologne Cathedral (2014), the principal Hussite church in Prague (2016), and Barcelona Cathedral (2018). Oriana recorded a third CD of items from their a cappella repertoire in March 2025, to follow that made in 2013, and the one of Christmas music in 2015.
