Bandstand

At the heart of the Festival Village is the Community Bandstand, a platform on which we celebrate music making and creativity in our host city.

Highlights from Gloucester 2023 included one of our featured ensembles - the Gloucestershire based Flowers Band, enchanting folk songs from Jessica Squire, heroic film music from the Lewis Merthyr Brass Band, and captivating traditional dance from Nethra Academy of Performing Arts!

It was wonderful to see so many people and families enjoying the music in the sunshine, and the bandstand gave the festival a brilliant atmosphere for all those in the cathedral close.
