The Youth Choir gives young singers in the local community the chance to rehearse and perform with some of the UK's top orchestras, ensembles and soloists, and has proven to be one of the best ways to gain valuable experience in concert.

Whether you aspire for a career in the arts, or simply enjoy singing amongst a group of like-minded individuals, the Youth Choir gives its members the opportunity to grow their creativity, build their confidence and meet peers who could well become lifelong friends and collaborators.

The choir tackles a variety of exciting repertoire. From choral classics to contributing towards Festival premieres, audiences are consistently blown away by the professionalism and quality of performances - many of whom champion the choir in audience feedback surveys year on year.

We spoke with Youth Choir member Harriet Perfect at Gloucester 2026 to hear what it's like to be amongst such talented singers and some of the repertoire she has had the pleasure of performing.
