The Festival is a charity, which since 2015, has operated without government subsidy, working tirelessly to secure donations, grants and sponsorship, which combined with ticket sales, enable us annually to deliver our charitable mission; from live concerts and educational work, to commissioning new choral works, nurturing the next generation of choral singers and composers, and championing organists and the great church music tradition for which this country is celebrated. By contrast, a Legacy enables the organisation to plan ahead based on long term investment and certainty, invaluable in securing its future.

It is also worth noting that the festival provides significant economic, cultural and community benefits to the cathedral cities of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester through its world-class programming, internationally regarded artists and ensembles, and significantly large audiences. As a result, a financial boost to local businesses, high visitor footfall, increased regional and international tourism, as well as national broadcast exposure, drives investment in and attention to the Cathedrals and our host cities. The fact that the Three Choirs Festival also nurtures local talent is all the more reason to ensure that the Festival continues to thrive.
